Mule Palm (Butia capitata × Syagrus romanzoffiana) is a rare hybrid palm that combines the cold hardiness of the Butia (Pindo Palm) with the tropical appearance and fast growth of the Syagrus (Queen Palm). It features a full, arching canopy of feathery fronds and a stout trunk, making it an excellent specimen tree in the landscape. Mule Palms are sterile, hence the name, and must be propagated manually.
